RESUMEN

The damage behavior of limestone rock masses containing calcite mineral filling under uniaxial compression experimental conditions is unclear, and the fracture mechanism of the rock masses needs to be further explored. In this study, uniaxial compression tests were conducted on limestone rock specimens containing veined calcite by combining acoustic emission and digital image correlation techniques. The effects of veined calcite on the generation and development of cracks on the surface of the specimens until the formation of macroscopic penetration and the strength properties of the rock mass were analyzed. The results showed that the transversely distributed veined calcite caused significant stress concentrations in the rock specimens. The longitudinally distributed veined calcite caused cracks in the specimens or influenced the expansion path of the longitudinal principal cracks. The final damage pattern of the specimens didn't differ significantly from that of conventional rock masses due to the presence of veined calcite. The presence of the veined calcite had effect on the uniaxial compressive capacity of the rock, but the load variation process of the specimen with time still conformed to the load variation pattern during the uniaxial compressive test of conventional rocks.

Sandwiching polymer interlayers between the electrode and solid electrolyte is considered promising in solving the interfacial issues arising from solid-solid contact in garnet-based solid-state batteries, but drawbacks including low ionic conductivity, inferior Li+ transference number, and unsatisfying mechanical property of the polymer hindered the practical application of such strategy. To solve the mentioned shortcomings of the polymer interlayer simultaneously, we introduce the ferroelectric material, BaTi2O5 (BT) nanorods, into the polymer matrix in this work. By taking full advantage of the plasticization effect and intrinsic spontaneous polarization of the introduced ferroelectric, the polymer's ionic conductivity and Li+ transference number have been significantly enhanced. The built-in electric field BT introduced also benefits the modulation of CEI components formed on the cathode particles, further enhancing the battery performance by decreasing cathode degradation. Besides, the BT nanorods' particular high aspect ratio also helps increase the mechanical property of the obtained polymer film, making it more resistant to lithium dendrite growth across the interface. Benefitting from the merits mentioned above, the assembled lithium symmetric cells using garnet SE with the BT-modified polymer interlayer exhibit stable cycling performance (no short circuit after 1000 h under RT) with low polarization voltage. The full battery employing LiFePO4 as a cathode also presents superior capacity retentions (94.6% after 200 cycles at 0.1 C and 93.4% after 400 cycles at 0.2 C). This work highlights the importance of ferroelectric materials with specific morphology in enhancing the electrochemical performance of polymer-based electrolytes, promoting the practical application of solid-state batteries.

Although studies have reported the association of two insertion/deletion (indel) polymorphisms in the 3'-untranslated region (UTR) of the RTN4 gene with the risk of tumorigenesis, the findings are inconsistent and require further explanation. Comprehensive literature searches were undertaken in Pubmed, Embase, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and WangFang database. The risk of tumorigenesis was determined using odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) based on STATA 12.0 software. A total of four case-control studies with 1214 patients and 1850 controls focused on the RTN4 gene TATC/- polymorphism and five case-control studies with 1625 patients and 2321 controls on the RTN4 gene CAA/- polymorphism. Pooled analysis showed that the TATC/- polymorphism was not associated with the risk of tumorigenesis under all genetic models and the CAA/- polymorphism was significantly associated with the risk of tumorigenesis under the homozygote genetic model (Del/Del vs. Ins/Ins: OR=1.32, 95%CI=1.04-1.68, P=0.02). In conclusion, the current findings suggested that the CAA/- polymorphism in the 3'-UTR of the RTN4 gene was significantly associated with the risk of tumorigenesis in the Chinese population and may serve as a valuable marker for predicting tumor risk.
